MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053791 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 28, for 'a low-cost bioscaffold fabrication method using natural polymers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dolly Sharma; and Dr. Anshu Anand.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a low-cost bioscaffold fabrication method using natural polymers and a system comprising a raw polymer preparation unit, a blending chamber, a deaeration section, an additive dosing module, a mold casting tray, a freezing chamber, a drying and stabilization unit, and a finished scaffold collection station. Natural polymer phases are hydrated, blended, deaerated, cast, frozen, and dried to form a porous biocompatible scaffold having interconnected architecture, dimensional stability, fluid absorption capability, and suitability for tissue support and biomedical applications."
