MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527092366 A) filed by Unilever Global Ip Limited, Wirral, U.K., on Sept. 26, for 'a liquid transparent composition for make-up removal.'

Inventor(s) include Chimote, Pooja, Sunil; Kulkarni, Aditi, Jayavant; Varghese, Sojan; and Varshney, Jonish.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a skin cleaning composition, more particularly a composition for cleaning the face that is especially useful and effective in removal of make-up. The composition is delivered in the form of a bilayer composition: an oily layer on top of an aqueous layer, both of which are transparent. The composition forms a micellar translucent or hazy liquid when shaken and reverts to the bilayer composition with time."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/055574.
