MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441005271 A) filed by ITC Life Sciences & Technology Centre, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Jan. 25, 2024, for 'a liquid cleansing formulation comprising free fatty acid blend.'

Inventor(s) include Janni, Devi Sirisha; Gowda, Sarala Dakappa; Patil, Manjanagouda; Gaspar, Joseph Milton; Bhaskar, James; and Vijayakrishnan, Venugopal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A liquid cleansing formulation a free fatty acid blend; and at least one surfactant. The free fatty acid blend is in an amount ranging from 0.1 to 2.0% w/w. The free fatty acid blend includes more than 60% w/w of one or more unsaturated fatty acids preferably having chain length between C14 - C20. The at least one surfactant includes at least one anionic surfactant; and at least one amphoteric surfactant. The liquid cleansing formulation exhibit viscosity of more than 1000 cp when measured at 27 C with the viscosity remaining stable at varying temperatures."
