MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004610 A) filed by Havells India Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'a lint collection system for a laundry treating apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Anmol Dutt; Girishankar Janardhanrao Phatak; and Amit Singh Rawat.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described herein is a lint collection system [200] for a laundry treating apparatus [100]. The lint collection system [200] comprising a housing [202] defining an upper compartment [204] and a lower compartment [212] separated by a wall portion [228], a first set of inlets [208] defined on at least one side face of the housing [202], a second set of inlets [216] defined on a bottom face of the housing [202], at least one outlet [210] defined on a front face of the housing [202], and a plurality of lint-filtering ribs [220] installed within each of the upper compartment [204] and the lower compartment [212], wherein, the water-lint mixture is ingressed within the upper and lower compartment [204, 212] through the first and second inlet [208,210], respectively, filtered by the plurality of lint-filtering ribs [222], such that water is egressed through the at least one outlet [210]."
