MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421008065 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited, Thane, Maharashtra, on Feb. 6, 2024, for 'a lighting unit having a pair of end caps.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a lighting unit (100). The lighting unit (100) may include a housing (102) and a pair of end caps (104). The housing (102) includes a plurality of mounting members (103). The pair of end caps (104) may be adapted to be engaged with ends of the housing (102). Each end cap (104) may include a pair of engaging members (106) and an opening (108). The pair of engaging members (106) may be adapted to be engaged with the plurality of mounting members (103) to hold each end cap (104) with the housing (102). The opening (108) may be formed between the pair of engaging members (106) and adapted to accommodate an electrical cable, such that the lighting unit (100) may be electrically connected with an adjacent lighting unit (100) via the electrical cable passing through the opening (108) of each end cap (104)."
