MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421075204 A) filed by Deere & Company, Moline, U.S.A., on Oct. 4, 2024, for 'a lift and lock arrangement.'

Inventor(s) include Kumar, Roushan; Mahadik, Akshay; Mandal, Ankan; and Siddheshwaran, Rajasekar.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a lift and lock arrangement (10) for a structure (2) mounted on a frame (3) and displaceable between a lifted position and a lowered position. The lift and lock arrangement (10) has a pair of moveable links (16 and 18) connecting a pair of fixed links (12 and 14) forming a parallelogram linkage arrangement. A latch (30), defined with a notch (38), and a handle (44) is pivotally mounted on the movable link (16) via a pivot point (36). A locking pin (28), extending from the moveable links (22), is clasped by the notch (38) in a locked configuration of the lift and lock arrangement (10), facilitated by a resilient member (46)."
