MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001921 A) filed by Ram Kishan, Gurugram, Haryana, on Jan. 8, for 'a lead-free, cadmium-free and food-grade clear glass water tank for reverse osmosis water purifiers.'
Inventor(s) include Ram Kishan.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lead-free, cadmium-free and food-grade clear glass water tank for use with reverse osmosis (RO) water purifiers. The water tank is intended for post-purification storage of purified drinking water and comprises a hollow tank body formed of chemically inert, non-porous clear glass and at least one outlet hole for dispensing stored purified water. The clear glass is tested and certified by an accredited laboratory for compliance with food-grade and drinking-water contact safety standards. The inert and non-porous nature of the glass prevents chemical interaction with low TDS RO-purified water, avoids absorption of flavours or odours, and preserves the natural taste and freshness of the stored water. By eliminating heavy-metal leaching and contamination associated with plastic and metal storage tanks, the invention provides a safe, hygienic, durable, and industrially applicable solution for storage of purified drinking water in domestic, commercial, and institutional reverse osmosis water purification systems."
