MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541096612 A) filed by Brakes India Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Oct. 7, 2025, for 'a hydraulic auto adjuster system for a drum brake assembly and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a hydraulic auto adjuster system (100) for a brake assembly comprising: a housing (102); a pin (104); a plunger (106); a plunger spring (108); a plunger O-ring (110); an insert (112); an insert O-ring (114); a locator (116); a locator spring (118); a spherical ball (120), and a seal (122), wherein the housing (102) comprises two ends, a first end is configured to be connected to a wheel cylinder (200) serves as an inlet port of brake assembly and a second end is configured to be coupled to the insert (112) through a threaded arrangement transferring the brake fluid from a brake master cylinder, the insert O-ring (114) is configured to be placed between the housing (102) and the insert (112) to prevent fluid leakage. Advantageously, the present invention provides auto adjustments, maintaining optimal brake shoe-to-drum clearance and ensuring consistent brake performance."
