MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019202 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on March 15, 2024, for 'a hub assembly of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Akshat Johri; Raghavendra Vedartham; Arun Bisht; and Rakesh Khanger.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a hub assembly (100) of a vehicle. The hub assembly (100) includes a hub (10) having a flange (12), The flange (12) includes a first set of plurality of mounting holes (14) arranged around periphery portion of the flange (12) to mount a wheel (20) through a first set of plurality of fasteners (22). The flange (12) further includes a second set of plurality of mounting holes (16) arranged around the periphery portion of the flange (12) to a brake disc (30) through a second set of plurality of fasteners (32). The brake disc (30) is mounted opposite to the wheel (20) on the flange (12) of the hub (10). The configuration of the hub assembly (100) withstands the higher braking loads of the vehicle and can be used for heavier load vehicles having higher braking loads."
