MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421008064 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited, Thane, Maharashtra, on Feb. 6, 2024, for 'a housing for a lighting unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a housing (104) for a lighting unit (100). The housing (104) may include a plurality of first openings (106) and a plurality of second openings (108). The plurality of first openings (106) may be formed collinearly on a first portion of a base (112) proximal to edges of the housing (104) and adapted to facilitate a suspended mounting of the lighting unit (100). The plurality of second openings (108) may be formed collinearly on a second portion of the base (112) between the plurality of first openings (106) and adapted to facilitate a surface mounting of the lighting unit (100)."
