MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020004 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on March 18, 2024, for 'a horn apparatus for a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Kamal Deep Mehra; and Neeraj Nehra.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a horn apparatus for vehicle. The horn apparatus may include: a control unit configured to generate a first frequency signal and a second frequency signal, wherein a value of the first frequency signal is different from a value of the second frequency signal; a switching unit adapted to activate at least one of a first mode, a second mode, or a third mode for providing at least one of the first frequency signal, the second frequency signal, or both the first frequency signal and the second frequency signal simultaneously; a horn unit adapted to deliver an output sound based on the activation of the first mode, the second mode, or the third mode. The horn apparatus may be capable of generating one or more sound tones by employing a single electronic circuit assembled on a printed circuit board (PCB)."
