MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421047533 A) filed by CPS Shapers Limited, Waliv, Maharashtra, on June 20, 2024, for 'a high elasticity mesh type breathable fabric.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a high elasticity mesh type breathable shapewear or supportwear fabric, which comprises a fabric body, the fabric body comprises a surface layer and an inner layer which are alternately arranged and composed of a first weaving structure and a second weaving structure by weaving on the fabric body to form a breathable gap and a breathable triangular hole, which effectively increases the air circulation space between the fabric and the skin, significantly improves the breathability when wearing, and reduces the feeling of stuffiness; The warp and weft weaving methods in the first weaving structure and the second weaving structure not only ensure that the fabric can evenly distribute the pressure when subjected to force, but also ensure that the fabric can quickly return to its original state after stretching, and meet the requirements of the shapewear for the shaping effect and comfort and flexibility of supportwear."
