MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019027 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on March 15, 2024, for 'a heatsink with an embedded thermal insulator for a lamping system of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Kumar, Sanjeev; Kumar, Naveen; Saini, Harsh; and Gandhi, Gulshan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a lamping system (100) of a vehicle. The lamping system (100) is a headlamp assembly (100) of the vehicle. The headlamp assembly (100) comprises a housing (50), at least one PCB unit (106), a heat sink (102) and at least one collimator (104). The PCB unit (106) has a plurality of light sources (114) and is positioned in between the heat sink (102) and the collimator (104). The collimator (104) is connected to the heat sink (102) by a plurality of metallic fasteners (110). The headlamp assembly (100) further comprises a plurality of thermal insulator bush (108). The plurality of thermal insulator bush (108) provides thermal insulation between the collimator (104) and the heat sink (102)."
