MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089505 A) filed by Oerlikon (China) Technology Co. Ltd., Suzhou, China, on Sept. 19, 2025, for 'a heating device for heating filaments and a false twist texturing machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present invention discloses a heating device for heating a filament, a side of a heating rail in contact with the filament having an open space, the heating device further having a heat insulating door portion, the heat insulating door portion comprising a door portion and a heat insulating portion mounted on a side of the door portion facing the heating rail, the open space being filled with the heat insulating door portion when the heat insulating door portion is in a working position, and a filament entry space for passage of the filament being formed between an inner wall of the open space and the heat insulating door portion when the heat insulating door portion is in a filament entry position. By means of operation of a heat insulating door portion moving mechanism along a lengthwise direction, the heat insulating door portion is placed in the filament entry position and the filament entry space is formed for the passage of the filament. After being placed in, the filament comes into contact with the heating rail and starts to be heated. Immediately thereafter, the heat insulating door portion moving mechanism is operated again, the heat insulating door portion is placed in the working position, and the open space is filled as much as possible to ensure maximum insulation performance."
