MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441030977 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France, Courbevoie, France, on April 8, 2024, for 'a heat treatable decorative glass substrate.'
Inventor(s) include P, Divyajanani; Sharma, Nidhi; and Mukhopadhyay, Uditendu.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A heat treatable decorative glass substrate is disclosed comprising a stack of layers starting from the glass substrate: a lower dielectric layer, a substantially metallic silicon layer and an upper dielectric layer. The total thickness of all the layers in the stack of layers ranges between 75 nm and 230 nm in order to achieve the below combination of desired optical values and aesthetic external appearance: a desired transmission factor (TL) in visible radiation; external reflection (Rg) ranging between 10% and 40%; low internal reflection (Rc) of less than 25% or even less than 20%; and wide range of aesthetically pleasing external appearance."
