MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096269 A) filed by Dr. S. Mohandoss; M. Swetha; and Rajalakshmi Engineering College on August 10, 2026, for "a Green Synthesis Method For Preparing Sro-Zno-Tio2 Nanocomposite For Photocatalytic Dye Degradatio.
Inventors include Dr. S. Mohandoss; and M. Swetha.
The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the green synthesis of a Sr0—ZnO—Ti02 nanocomposite using plant extract as a reducing agent. The synthesized material exhibits enhanced photocatalytic activity for the degradation of organic dyes and significant antibacterial properties. The synergistic interaction between Sr0, ZnO, and TiO2 improves charge separation, increases surface area, and enhances catalytic efficiency. This nanocomposite provides a sustainable and eco-friendly solution for wastewater treatment applications.
