MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421079244 A) filed by Jai Ravindra Gadre; and Ravindra Hari Gadre, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct, 18, 2024, for 'a garbage collection system for floating waste and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The proposed invention is an advanced garbage collector system designed to clean floating waste from water bodies like rivers, lakes and oceans. It can be attached to boats and other moving platforms allowing it to continuously collect floating waste without human intervention. This system uses nets, sensors and filters to capture floating waste even in hard-to-reach areas. It is portable, easy to set up and can work in different water conditions making it especially useful during events that produce a lot of waste such as religious rituals. By working automatically or through remote control it reduces the need for manual labor making cleaning safe and more efficient. The system is eco-friendly reduces maintenance costs and helps to keep water bodies clean contributing to a healthier environment and safer water for communities that depend on these resources."
