MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414052248 A) filed by Ultimate Transportation Technology Corporation Limited, Qingdao, China, on July 8, 2024, for 'a gangway.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a gangway, including half-gangway assemblies, and the two half-gangway assemblies are locked by lock assembly, the vehicle mounting profile assemblies of half-gangway assemblies are provided with side panel bracket assemblies for mounting the side panel assemblies; each of the side panel assemblies includes a middle panel assembly, two lapping panel assemblies, and two edge panel assemblies, a middle panel wearing layer slidably connected with the lapping panel assembly is provided at the overlapping portion of the middle panel assembly and the lapping panel assembly; the lapping panel assembly is provided with a pin base body and a lapping panel mounting shaft; the pin base body is mounted on the lapping panel assembly and protrudes from the lapping panel assembly; a wearing plate is provided on the protruding portion, which is slidably connected with the middle panel assembly, the lapping panel mounting shaft is located on the protruding portion and between the wearing plate and the lapping panel assembly. During the compression or tension process of the side panel, the force acting on the lapping panel mounting shaft will not cause the lapping panel assembly to undergo horizontal rotation, which can avoid collision between the lapping panel assembly and other parts and guarantee the service life of the side panel and the gangway."
