MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541090161 A) filed by SS Engineers And Consultants Private Limited, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on Sept. 22, 2025, for 'a fully automatic batch-type intermediate bulk container washing machine.'

Inventor(s) include Kalpesh Kothari.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a fully automatic batch-type Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) washing machine (100) for efficient internal and external cleaning of IBCs. The system comprises a hydraulic scissor lift with integrated conveyor (102) for loading and unloading, a pneumatically operated chamber door (104), and a pneumatic tilting mechanism (106) enabling drainage through the IBC bottom outlet. A pneumatically actuated internal nozzle insertion system (108) with 360 high-pressure rotation and an external washing system powered by at least one high-pressure pump (110) ensures complete cleaning. A programmable logic controller (PLC)-based control system (112) synchronizes hydraulic, pneumatic, and washing operations, with safety interlocks and cycle programmability. The machine further integrates a water recirculation and filtration system (114) for reduced water consumption, and a hot air or HEPA-filtered drying module (116) for delivering moisture-free IBCs. Real-time monitoring, fault diagnostics, and data logging are enabled through a PLC-connected Human Machine Interface (HMI) or SCADA system. The invention provides a fully automated, energy-efficient, and hygienic solution for IBC washing without manual intervention."
