MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070228 A) filed by Padmini Vna Mechatronics Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, on Sept. 17, 2024, for 'a fuel tank isolation valve with an improved load adjustment mechanism.'
Inventor(s) include Kabir Bhandari; Varun Kumar; Shashi Ranjan Kumar; and Sahil Singla.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a fuel tank isolation valve (1), comprising a housing sub-assembly (18), a compression spring (10), a shaft (9), a main housing (2), a cover (6), a pressure spring (3), a stroke limiter (4), and a flow limiter (5). The pressure spring (3) is coil spring which is secured over said flow limiter (5) and configured to apply a consistent force on said flow limiter (5) for over-pressure relief function. The cover (6) has a modified structure which is easy to adjust for making a load of the pressure spring (3) variable that facilitates in increasing a tolerance band value for a spring manufacturing and for increasing a performance of the fuel tank isolation valve (1)."
