MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617020273 A) filed by Symrise Ag, Holzminden, Germany, on Feb. 20, for 'a fragrance pod.'
Inventor(s) include Cousin-Kimmel, Gaelle; Carrasco-Douroux, Celine; Georgi, Julian Alexander; Ahrens Nelli; and Jing, Ting Lam.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Suggested is a fragrance pod, comprising or consisting of (i) an envelope and (ii) a filling wherein (a) said envelope comprises by at least 75 wt.-percent of a water-soluble polymer and (b) a fragrance composition comprising or consisting of (b1) at least one fragrance raw material; (b2) at least one moisturizer; and (b3) water."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/073682.
