Sahana Reddy; Ashok Gorja; Malla Reddy Institute Of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth; and Vishnu Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research, Vishnupur, Telangana, on Jan. 29, for 'a fourier transform infrared (ftir) spectroscopy-based method for stress degradation profiling and stability assessment of guaifenesin.'

Inventor(s) include Jahnavi Bandla; P. Sahana Reddy; and Ashok Gorja.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an FTIR spectroscopy-based method for evaluating the degradation behavior of guaifenesin under acidic, basic, oxidative, photolytic, and thermal stress conditions. The method enables rapid, non-destructive assessment of structural integrity through functional group-specific spectral analysis, establishing the absence of carbonyl formation as a key indicator of stability."
