MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511118092 A) filed by Dr. Seema Jat; Dr Dharmendra Singh Bhati; Dr. Ramakant Sharma; Dr. Laxmikant Sharma; Dr. Gitam Singh; Dr. V K Verma; Dr. Lali Jat; Dr. Naresh Kumar; Dr Asha Masih; and Dr. Abhinav Yadav, Ajmer, Rajasthan, on Nov. 27, 2025, for 'a formulated composition and method for preparing a functional amla-based herbal tea beverage.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a standardized herbal tea composition formulated using Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) powder in combination with selected botanical ingredients including ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, and basil. The composition is optimized in a defined quantitative ratio to enhance antioxidant activity, immunity, digestion, metabolic function, detoxification, and overall wellness. The invention further provides a method for preparing the beverage through controlled boiling, with optional natural sweeteners and lemon extract. The formulation offers a palatable, nutritionally potent, and shelf-stable functional beverage suitable for daily consumption, addressing the limitations of raw Amla intake and enabling efficient delivery of its therapeutic properties."
