MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441005358 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 25, 2024, for 'a footrest assembly for vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Footrest Assembly for Vehicle The present invention relates to a footrest assembly (10) for a vehicle. The footrest assembly (10) comprises a pair of footrests (110a, 110b). The pair of footrests (110a, 110b) are pivotably mounted to a frame assembly (100). The electronic component (112) is operably connected to the pair of footrests (110a, 110b). The pair of footrests (110a, 110b) are configured to operate based on an actuation from the electronic component (112). The footrest assembly (10) enables hygienic operation of the pair of footrests (110a, 110b) by mitigating the need for direct contact with the pair of footrests (110a, 110b). Further, the pair of footrests (110a, 110b) may be operated between a closed position and an open position by expending minimal effort in actuating the electronic component (112)."
