MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421004771 A) filed by Higgsfleet Innovations Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'a food processing apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Nandan Ravindra Gite.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food processing apparatus (100) comprises a holder (118) to hold an object (124) and a rotatable disc (102) forming a cutting zone (122) between the holder (118) and an inner surface of the disc (102). The inner surface has a first channel (108) housing a first slider (111) with a first set of blades (112) inclined at an angle (?) and a first pin (114) sliding over a first sliding surface (120) also oriented at (?). Rotation of disc (102) slides the first slider (111) radially outwards via engagement of the first pin (114) on the angled first sliding surface (120) for cutting by blades (112). The inner surface also has a depth blade (106) to incrementally slice the object (124). Dual opposing blade sets on slidable mounts, and an oscillating depth blade achieve automated food dicing integrated through the rotating disk mechanics."
