According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A filter device (1) is provided for removing particles from a liquid. The filter device (1) comprises a fluid chamber (16), a liquid inlet (2), a filtered liquid outlet (3), and a particle outlet (4). Each of these is coupled to the fluid chamber (16). The filter device (1) further comprises a flow directing mechanism that is configured to induce a vortex flow around a vortex axis within the fluid chamber (16). Additionally, the filter device (1) comprises an inlet chamber (15) that is coupled to the inlet (2). The inlet chamber (15) is delimited from the fluid chamber (16) by a wall member (5). The inlet chamber (15) further comprises an inlet chamber sieve (7) that is configured to sift the liquid upstream from the wall member (5)."
