The regulating unit (108) is configured to regulate speed of a fan using the dial (202). The controller (106) is connected to the regulating unit (108). The sensor (112) is connected to the controller (106). The sensor (112) is 10 configured to detect lighting condition in room where the fan is installed. The illumination element (110) is connected to the controller (106). The illumination element (110) is disposed in the dial (202). During operation, the controller (106) is configured to change intensity of illumination elements based on the lighting condition in the room and speed of the fan."
