MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631009591 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Chumukedima, Nagaland, on Jan. 30, for 'a dual stage piezoelectric energy harvester using self-actuated concentric oval structure.'
Inventor(s) include Hemant Narayan; Dr. M. Prakash; Dr. B. Shakila; and Dr. R. Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dual-stage piezoelectric energy harvester using a self-actuated concentric oval structure was introduced. The device was designed to capture extra-low-frequency (ELF) ambient vibrations using a self-actuated concentric oval structure. A dual-stage cantilever was combined with a concentric oval resonator and an oval-shaped neodymium seismic mass to improve mechanical stress amplification and resonance tuning. A multilayer piezoelectric configuration enabled efficient electrical energy conversion, making the system well suited for wearable electronics, biomedical devices, and IoT-based applications."
