According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention describes a compact, hand-held personal-safety device intended to assis women in threatening situations. It contains two separate gas reservoirs--one filled with helium and the other with carbon monoxide-each connected to its own discharge outlet. When the single trigger is pressed, both gases are released simultaneously: helium is directed toward the user to momentarily sharpen the voice, while carbon monoxide is aimed outward to briefly disorient an attacker. The device also includes a safety lock, visual status indicators, a replaceable battery, and an accessible cartridge compartment, enabling a quick, combined alert-and-defense response through one simple action."
