MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521110097 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Bombay; and Centre For Development Of Advanced Computing, Thiruvananthapuram, Maharashtra, on Nov. 7, 2025, for 'a driving simulator system and method for training and assessing the driving skills of users.'

The method comprises the steps of receiving an input of a vehicle and a geolocation selected from a user interface (140), generating a 3D real-world driving environment for the selected geolocation, generating a non-lane-based mixed traffic environment, integrating the non-lane-based mixed traffic environment into the driving environment, dynamically changing the driving environment, capturing driving behaviour and attention level of the user, based on the driving data, gaze data, brain wave data of the user during the dynamic change in the driving environment using the driving console unit (200) and the attention and awareness monitor (700) and automatically determining an assessment score and an assessment report for the user based on the captured behaviour of the user."
