MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070265 A) filed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 17, 2024, for 'a driver tool for stud installation.'

Inventor(s) include Baljinder Singh; Lalit Kumar; and Smriti Suman.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates to a driver tool (200) for stud (100) installation. The driver tool (200) comprises a driving head (201) and an extended stopper (202). The driving head (201) has a front end (201a) and a rear end (201b) adapted to accommodate nut end of the stud (100). The driving head (201) is in the form of a hollow cylinder with internal threads (301). The extended stopper (202) is attached to the front end of the driving head (201). The extended stopper (202) is adapted to accommodate part of shaft (102) of the stud (100). The extended stopper (202) is in the form of a hollow cylindrical tube with diameter identical to the diameter of the driving head (201)."
