MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124952 A) filed by Anurag Engineering College, Suryapet, Telangana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'a dimensional limestone-waste based feed composition for preparing cement and a cement prepared therefrom.'

Inventor(s) include Mr G. Narender; and Mr A. Shiva Krishna.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a Dimensional Limestone-Waste Based Feed Composition for preparing cement using an optimized blend of limestone-rich waste materials. The composition incorporates dimensional quarry waste, stone-processing slurry, masonry demolition fines, and optional silica or iron-rich industrial by-products. Through controlled particle size distribution and chemical homogenization, the feed enhances raw meal reactivity and reduces calcination energy requirements. When processed through conventional kiln systems, the blend yields high-quality clinker and a cement exhibiting strong mechanical performance, improved sustainability, and reduced environmental impact. The invention promotes circular material use by converting limestone waste streams into functional cement precursors."
