MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006501 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a digital writing pen.'
Inventor(s) include Shubhanshu Tiwari; Dr. Chhinder Kaur Dhaliwal; and Dr Tejinderpal Singh Brar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a digital writing pen (100) comprising a housing (102). Further, a plurality of sensors (104) installed inside the housing (102), for tracking and providing a comprehensive and versatile note-taking experience. Further, a control unit (106) installed in the housing, to transmit the information received from the plurality of sensors (104). Further, a button (110) installed in the housing (102), to activate a paper mode or an air mode, wherein the air mode is configured to mimic writing into a digital writing."
