MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025686 A) filed by Kumarappa National Handmade Paper Institute, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on March 28, 2024, for 'a dhoop and a method for preparing thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Sunita Chauhan; and Rahul Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a sustainable and ecofriendly dhoop formulation. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing said sustainable dhoop. The present invention provides a sustainable and cost effective dhoop comprising dewatered cow dung along with herbs with substantial long burning time. It further provides organic dhoop formulation, mosquito repellant dhoop formulation, insect repellent dhoop formulation, pigmented dhoop formulation and temple flower dhoop formulation."
