MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087733 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'a device to secure wire harness or tubes in a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Niraj Joshi; Mohan Kumar; Bhagyashree Walunj; Ankit Rai; Madhusudhan Ramakrishna; Rashmi Kulkarni; and Mohammed Harihar.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure elaborates upon a device 100 to secure wire harness or tubes 110 in a vehicle. The device 100 comprises a lower bracket 102 configured to be fixed to a body 300 of the vehicle, and an upper bracket 104 configured to be detachably fixed to the lower bracket 102. Any one or both of the lower bracket 102 and the upper bracket 104 include a plurality of apertures 106 for insertion of a plurality of cable ties 108 for securing wire harness or tubes 110. In addition, the upper bracket 104 may be detachably fixed to the lower bracket 102 by one or more snap fittings 112."
