MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018867 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'a device for storing used polybags.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachin Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for storing used polybags, comprising a housing 1 attached with a cylindrical hollow member 2 to be placed with used polybags for re-use, a primary motorized iris lid 3 and secondary iris lid 5 configured with the member 2 for opening the member 2, a pair of telescopically operated grippers 4 configured with housing 1 for gripping polybag, an air blower 6 mounted with housing 1 to remove residues from polybag, a platform 7 configured at the base portion and constructed with a set of plates 8 for folding the polybag, a set of chambers 9 installed with the housing 1 for storing different dimension of polybag, a camera 10 mounted within the housing 1 for detecting polybag orientation and a touch enabled screen 11 installed on housing 1 for enabling user's input commands."
