MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070515 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, New Delhi, on Sept. 18, 2024, for 'a device for core temperature estimation of a cell.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Amit Gupta; Kailash Chandra Gupta; Prateek Chandel; and Raghvendra Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a device (100) for estimating core temperature of a cell (102), includes sensor unit (106), converter (108), processing unit (110) and power source (114). The sensor unit (106) configured to be electrically coupled with cell (102) for sensing electrical and thermal parameters and generate analogue parametric signals in accordance to sensed parameters. The converter (108) configured to convert analogue parametric signals received from sensor unit (106) into digital parametric signals. The processing unit (110) configured to analyse digital parametric signals received from converter (108) for generating critical parameters of cell (102), includes database (402) configured to store electrochemical mechanical, thermal and equivalent model parameters of cell (102) and estimator module (404) configured to perform arithmetic and logical operations on digital parametric signals and stored parameter of cell (102) for generating critical parameters based on a thermal model stored in memory (408) using processor (404)."
