MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511129030 A) filed by Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 19, 2025, for 'a device for acupressure treatment utilizing a one-side open adjustable acupressure ring.'

The device comprises a one-side open, C-shaped ring body fashioned from flexible, biocompatible materials featuring an open gap for secure placement on a finger or forearm; a soft, medical-grade silicone pad bonded to the inner surface; a rounded pressure nub positioned to contact acupoints LI4 or PC6; and an adjustable pressure mechanism that includes variants such as a micro-screw assembly, spring-tension system, or ratchet lock for discrete pressure settings. The invention provides a user-controlled, adjustable acupressure treatment method ensuring precise and effective pain alleviation."
