MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102126 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Oct. 23, 2025, for 'a device for acoustic sorting of biological cells and particles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention "A Device for Acoustic Sorting of Biological Cells and Particles" provides a microfluidic-based platform incorporating an acoustic wave generator (102), channel network (103), and detection unit (104). The device uses ultrasonic standing waves to separate cells and particles based on physical properties. A control module (105) regulates sorting parameters, and collection outlets (106) enable retrieval of purified fractions. The system offers label-free, non-invasive, and high-efficiency cell sorting suitable for biomedical and diagnostic applications."
