MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087012 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 19, 2023, for 'a detachable curd making assembly in a refrigerator.'

Inventor(s) include Singh Amar Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A detachable curd making assembly (102) in a refrigerator (100) is provided. The assembly (102) includes, a detachable body (202) with a container (204) installed in a door (104) of the refrigerator (100), a damper assembly (208) to regulate air flow into the container (204) and a heater (206) coupled to the door (104) of the refrigerator (100) to heat the container (204) to a predetermined temperature. Further, the heater (206) maintains the container (204) in the predetermined temperature for a predetermined time period facilitating in fermentation process and formation of curd, after the predetermined time period, the damper assembly (208) is operated to facilitate flow of cold air into the container (204) and cool the curd formed in the container (204) by natural convection."
