MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124305 A) filed by Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'a dental suction device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Poonam Agrawal; and Dr. Kanak Priya.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein a dental suction device (100) comprising a connector (102) configured to couple to a dental vacuum source and a manifold feeding a plurality of arms that provide simultaneous evacuation from intraoral regions to maintain a clear operative field. The plurality of arms includes a right arm (104) extending toward the right posterior region, a left arm (106) extending toward the left posterior region, and a central arm (108) extending toward the anterior region, enabling concurrent moisture control across bilateral posterior and anterior sites without frequent repositioning. Each arm terminates in a suction tip (110), a perforated tip with multiple apertures to distribute intake, reduce soft-tissue adhesion, and resist clogging for stable flow at the liquid-air interface."
