MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025638 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on March 28, 2024, for 'a defroster of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Aniket Saha; Ashutosh Sahu; and Mayank Kushwaha.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure relates to a defroster (D) of a vehicle (V). The defroster (D) includes a duct and a plurality of dampers (20). The duct (10) may be positioned underneath a dashboard (DB) of the vehicle (V), the duct (10) includes an inlet (10a) and an outlet (10b). The inlet (10a) may be fluidly coupled to a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning unit (H) to receive temperature controlled air. The outlet (10b) may be positioned proximally to a windshield (W) of the vehicle (V) and configured to allow flow of the received air from the inlet (10a) towards the windshield (W). Further, the plurality of dampers (20) may be disposed within the duct (10) and positioned proximally to the outlet (10b). The plurality of dampers (20) may be coupled to and actuated by an electric motor (20a) to alter flow direction of the air flowing from the inlet (10a) towards the windshield (W)."
