MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541084427 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Sept. 5, 2025, for 'a deep learning and clinical rule engine framework for early detection and tnm staging of kidney tumors from tomography and radiology information data.'

Inventor(s) include A Deepika; and Dr. Santosh Kumar Henge.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a hybrid framework integrating deep learning with clinical rule engines for early detection of kidney tumors, particularly iso-intense renal masses, and for TNM staging using tomography and radiology information data. The system addresses the limitations of conventional radiology and standalone AI approaches, which are often biased toward later-stage tumor detection. By combining deep learning sensitivity with rule-based interpretability, the invention ensures accurate, early detection and explainable staging. It integrates seamlessly with radiology information systems, providing clinicians with a reliable decision-support tool to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes."
