MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025713 A) filed by Jain; Pavan G C; Dr. Bremnavas I; Bhargavi Pal; G R Amrutha; and Harsha S, Bangalore, Karnataka, on March 5, for 'a decentralized assessment driven educational platform integrating ai based proctoring and blockchain-enabled certification.'
Inventor(s) include Pavan G C; Dr. Bremnavas I; Bhargavi Pal; G R Amrutha; and Harsha S.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current invention reveals a single, integrated digital learning platform that combines blockchain-based academic validation, artificial intelligence-driven proctoring, secure assessment execution, and structured learning delivery into a single, coherent architecture. A modular learning engine, an assessment management module, an AI-based proctoring subsystem that uses face detection and webcam monitoring for ongoing identity verification, and a blockchain validation layer set up to store tamper-proof examination logs, assessment integrity records, and student credential verification data are all part of the system. Proctoring information and test results are cryptographically processed and safely stored on a decentralized blockchain ledger during exam sessions to guarantee immutability and stop unwanted modification. Verifiable certification is ensured because credential generation is only carried out after blockchain validation is successful. Enhancing academic integrity, preventing impersonation and record manipulation, and enabling reliable digital education deployment in rural and low-resource environments are all made possible by the integration of secure proctoring with decentralized validation within a single workflow. For contemporary educational institutions and digital learning providers, the invention offers a scalable, secure, and verifiable framework."
