MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122429 A) filed by Trianz Digital Consulting Private Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'a data platform and a method for identity and access management.'
Inventor(s) include Jasmeet Singh Makkad; Sumit Kumar; Gaurav Mittal; and Anil Kumar Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to data platforms for identity and access management in secure data governance across heterogeneous data sources that address challenges of managing access permissions across heterogeneous data sources with different permission models requiring separate configuration at each granular level, and centralized architectures requiring central administrator intervention. The data platform (200) comprises the permission inheritance engine (225) configured to obtain source-level access permissions (230a, 230b) from heterogeneous data sources (205a, 205b), propagate source-level access permissions (230a, 230b) across multiple granular levels (235a, 235b) without requiring separate configuration, and synchronize propagated permissions (240a, 240b) across domains (245a, 245b). The domain control module (260) enables domain owners (265a, 265b) to autonomously define granular access controls (270a, 270b) and assign propagated permissions (240a, 240b) to user groups (275a, 275b) without central administrator (263) intervention."
