MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517078350 A) filed by Tomra Systems Asa, Asker, Norway, on Aug. 18, for 'a container return system and method.'
Inventor(s) include Onstad, Hans-Georg; Pettersen, Fredrik; Karimi, Wais; Holmesland, Shelly; Verlo, Alexander; and Lunde, Tom.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A container return system configured to receive a bulk of used containers, comprising a first transporting arrangement comprising infeed transporting means configured to transport said used containers from an infeed opening to a redirection area, redirection means configured to redirect said used containers at said redirection area, and singulator transporting means configured to transport said used containers from said redirection area to an uptake area, a singulation arrangement configured to transport said individual used containers from said uptake area to a receiving area, and a second transporting arrangement configured to transport said used containers from said receiving area to a classification unit, wherein said redirection area is arranged at a first distance from said infeed opening in a first direction, and wherein said infeed transporting means is configured to transport said used containers from said infeed opening to said redirection area past said uptake area, as seen from above."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/053228.
