MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641007486 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 26, for 'a computer-implemented system for material-level evaluation and comparison of construction materials.'
Inventor(s) include G Prasunath Reddy; P Pramodh Kumar; U Rakesh Kumar Reddy; and Dr. Mareeswari V.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system for material-level evaluation and comparison of construction materials. The system comprises a Green Construction Material Tracker working principle architecture (100) operatively connected with a Material Management Module (300), a Search and Filter Module (400), a Comparison Module (500), and an Eco-Score Computation Module (600). The system further includes a Supplier Integration Module (700), a CSV Bulk Import Module for administrative use (800), an Insight and Analytics Module (900), and a Data Storage and Repository Module (1000). Construction materials are stored as structured records and evaluated using sustainability parameters, engineering performance attributes, and cost-related data. The system enables multi-attribute comparison between traditional construction materials and corresponding green construction materials and generates comparative outputs to support material selection. Automated bulk data ingestion and modular eco-score computation improve scalability and adaptability of the system for sustainable construction workflows."
