MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521028162 A) filed by Mit Art, Design And Technology University; and Gaikwad, Uddhav Pandhari, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 25, 2025, for 'a compressed air propulsion system.'

Inventor(s) include Gaikwad, Uddhav Pandhari.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to a compressed air propulsion system. it aims to power a two-wheeler vehicle by compressed air propulsion, eliminating the need for petrol engines or electric batteries. The system consists of a pneumatic air compressor (101) that supplies compressed air to a pneumatic gun (102), which is mounted on the vehicle chassis. The pneumatic gun's output shaft is connected to a sprocket (103), which drives the rear wheel sprocket (105) via chain linkages (104). This setup provides a non-polluting, cost-effective alternative for two-wheelers, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs. This system promotes sustainable transportation and a greener environment by replacing conventional propulsion systems with a compressed air-powered alternative."
