MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071651 A) filed by Vagia Care Private Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Sept. 23, 2024, for 'a composition for intimate hygiene.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates a composition for intimate hygiene. The present invention includes a Boerhavia diffusa, a Woodforida fructicosa, a Centella asiatica, a Pullulan, a Glycerin, a Sodium Chloride, a hydroxyethyl cellulose, a preservative, an antioxidant, an antimicrobial agent, a prebiotic agent and a purified water. The composition is intended for use as a douching product and incorporates herbal plant-based extracts with proven therapeutic properties which include Boerhavia diffusa (1-1.5% w/v), Centella asiatica (1-1.5% w/v), and Woodfordia fruticosa (0.1-1% w/v), known for their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antispasmodic, and antiproliferative effects. The composition is enhanced with film-forming agents such as pullulan (0.1-0.5% w/v) and hydroxyethyl cellulose (0.2-1% w/v), along with functional excipients including glycerin (2% w/v), sodium chloride (0.9% w/v), preservative (0.5-1% w/v), antioxidant (0.5% w/v), antimicrobial agent (0.5% w/v), prebiotic agent (0.5% w/v), and purified water."
