MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076359 A) filed by Avt Natural Products Ltd., Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Oct. 8, 2024, for 'a composition comprising hydroxyphenylchromone, and applications thereof.'
Inventor(s) include S, Vinay Kumar VVCH; Chandran Nair, Arunkumar Thudanal; Subrahmanya, Abhijith Kunhitlu; and Ravichandran, Sripathy.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising at least one 5 hydroxyphenylchromone and an emulsifier with a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) between 7 and 18. The composition is prepared by mixing the emulsifier with optional additives such as polyols and pH adjusters, followed by heating and incorporation of the hydroxyphenylchromone under stirring. This composition is suitable for inclusion in nutraceutical formulations and can be 10 used in the manufacture of dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or medicaments. It is intended for managing various conditions or disorders through oral administration."
